Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

Always have clean hands before you touch your new tattoo. Wash tattoo using warm-hot water and an antibacterial soap 3 times a day using moderate pressure. Wash all the soap off with fresh warm-hot water. Let the tattoo air dry for about 5 minutes then apply Tattoo Whip to the tattoo until the white turns clear. Do not use A&D, vaseline or pure petroleum jelly, this will clog pores and your tattoo will not heal properly. I recommend using our new Tattoo Whipp to keep your tattoo healthy and vibrant. Tattoo Whipp can be reapplied as often as neccesary.

Use the Tattoo Whipp for approx 5 days following the application of the tattoo, you can continue to use Tattoo Whipp after healing to keep your tattoo looking fresh and bright.

Important-- Do not touch a fresh tattoo with dirty hands... Your new tattoo needs to breathe so it can heal properly. Anything used that contains petroleum or mineral oil can clog pores and delay healing. Your tattoo may itch during healing. do not scratch it! slap it to relieve the itch. Your tattoo may also begin to flake during healing. This is normal.  Do not scratch this off or pull on any part of your tattoo. Healing times vary from person to person and upon location of the tattoo. If you have any concerns on how your new tattoo is healing, please call me or come see me.

..Avoid Direct Sunlight, always use sunscreen after your tattoo heals to avoid fading
..Do not soak your tattoo in tubs, pools, hot tubs or the river until your tattoo is fully healed
..Wear loose clothing to avoid discomfort
..Use a dry ice pack to relieve swelling and discomfort
..Your new tattoo will seep body fluid or blood or ink for the first few days and may stain clothing or sheets. Make sure you  wear old
clothing you dont care to stain.

Body Piercing Aftercare

Cleanse the newly pierced area daily with antibacterial soap and water. Do not use undiluted soap! Sea salt soak the piercing site 2x daily using 1/4 teaspoon plain sea salt to 8 ounces of warm distilled water for 5 mins each time.  For oral piercings, rinse the mouth with sea salt solution 2 times daily as well as soak the outside of the piercing. Oral piercings will also benefit from an alcohol free mouthwash rinse 1-2 times a day

There is no need to overclean your new piercing.  This will result in dryness and delay healing, using excess salt or soap will also result in dryness. Do not use peroxide, alcohol or neosporin on your new piercing.  Use the sea salt soak for the minimum time requested by your piercer.. Sea salt is a natural gentle cleanser with antibacterial properties and is the best thing to keep your newly pierced area clean and free of bacteria.

New piercings will develop sebum, this is the natural secretion that your body is using to heal itself, it usually a clear to whitish fluid that can crust up around your new jewelry, simply q-tip this off after a soak... normal body piercings will start developing this after 7-10 days...oral piercings heal faster and can develop this the next day...These secretions can continue after full healing has happened, but generally go away after healing..

If you notice severe pain around the piercing site, redness, warmth, or an abcess, or if you develop a fever..this indicates an infection.. Please come see me, so i can give you the best course of action to take
